Seaton with Slingley Parish Council approved its budget for 2025/2026 in the sum of £15,672 at a meeting of the Parish Council held on 11 December 2024.
The Parish Council agreed a 15.3% increase to the 2024/2025 precept amount.
The 2025/2026 budget of £15,672 is made up of a precept of £14,225 received from Durham County Council and £1,447 from the Parish Council’s reserves.
The Parish Council appreciates an increase of 15.3% appears high. The figures below demonstrate what a household would have paid in 2024/25 compared to what they will be paying in 2025/26.
