A memorial plaque to honour the crew of a WW2 Whitley Bomber (AD685) that crashed at Slingley Hill on 10 October 1944 killing all the crew has been installed on the corner of Hillrise Crescent, Seaton Village.
The memorial plaque was unveiled in November 2024 by the Chair of the Parish Council, Councillor Alyson Slater. The Canadian Ambassador in London was also present for the unveiling.
